Man’s task is to become conscious of the contents that press upwards from the unconscious…As far as we can discern, the sole purpose of human existence is to kindle a light in the darkness of mere being. _Carl Jung
You may think that your conscious waking mind is directing your life, but typically, it is not! When people get stuck continuously repeating the same life circumstances over and over again, they are operating from old well-worn ABR patterns that were already programmed in their Subconscious Minds in the past. The secret to living the life you want is to form new, forwarding neural pathways in your subconscious mind.
You see, your subconscious mind is a warehouse of every well-worn neural pathway of Stimulus Automatic Behavior Response (ABR) pattern you have formed about yourself and your world. Some of the ABR’s you’ve formed lead to positive, abundance producing, and forwarding actions and results in your life, while other ABR’s you have unknowingly adopted lead to fearful, scarcity producing, and limiting life results.
If you are unable to move forward in a particular area of your life, you probably have formed a neural pathway ABR pattern that is automatically limiting you in that area of your life (faulty wiring).
Because many of these Stimuli Automatic Behavior Response (ABR) patterns are formed during early childhood and stored in the subconscious mind, many people are not even aware of their existence.
A typical example would be of a young toddler who cries after being accidentally startled by a stranger who just happened to pop into his visual field. Let’s say that this toddler’s parents interpret his crying as his “being shy”, and tells the stranger in front of the toddler that “He is just so shy”. Hearing this, the toddler may form ABR’s based on the belief that he is shy. Told often enough by his parents that he is shy, this same toddler may one day wake up and realize that he is a 40 year old man who avoids meeting new people and chooses to miss one opportunity after another for new potentially exciting situations and relationships, because at the ripe old age of 3, he formed an ABR pattern that said “Because I am shy, I must avoid interacting with strangers”.
